    Hi guys,

I’m wondering why it’s so difficult to center my photos and text in the main body column of my site? I’ve inputted a bunch of custom CSS that adjusts the margins and width of various elements to try to center everything so it looks as good as possible, but I’m wondering why the theme doesn’t just automatically center things?

    Thanks,
    Ben

    Hi,

Who manages the alignment of images and text within the posts is WordPress, not the theme. The alignment of text and images is set by the user in the WordPress editor. In the following link you can see that the images are aligned correctly: Image alignment

Can you put a link where that problem occurs? Thank you.

Hi there, basically anywhere in the main body of any post on the site, like this one:

10th Mountain to Uncle Bud’s to Skinner

Photos aren’t automatically centered. I am able to create some custom CSS to solve this issue but it doesn’t seem to work properly in all browsers…

    Hi,

I insist: The alignment of the images is not managed by the theme. The alignment of the images is established by the user in the WordPress editor when he inserts the images in the posts. In the post that you indicate (and others) all the images are in a div with the CSS class alignnone which means that when you add images to a post you set the alignment to ‘None’.

Please, when you insert an image in a post, set its alignment to ‘Center’.

    Regards.

Hi Juan, I’m not talking about image alignment as far as left, center, right, or none. I’m talking about the margins between the edge of various photos and text compared to the outside edges of the spaces in the blog aren’t equal, so without adding additional CSS, photos don’t appear centered even if the alignment is set to “center”. Even in this example: http://demos.galussothemes.com/zerogravity-pro/wordpress/diseno-adaptable-en-cualquier-dispositivo

…you can see there is slightly more space to the left of the photo edge than there is on the right. It’s fine though, it’s a minor detail that I’ve managed to fix well enough using CSS.

    Thanks,
    Ben
