I’m using Addthis coming in own template and to share an article with facebook it shows images of other posts. How do I get the image to the post that I’m sharing?
Facebook image showing when a post is shared not dependent on the theme. It depends on the algorithm that Facebook has to process shared posts.
Got it. And there is some css code, tag or otherwise make Facebook use the image of the post to share? Because I was using another plugin and this problem does not happen.
the problem can not be solved with CSS, sorry. The theme all it does is insert your AddThis code in the right place, it does nothing more. Everything else depends on algorithms AddThis and Facebook. A plugin may be causing the behavior.
Hello. I continue with the same problem and I need help.
I did some tests with the old theme that used and installed to one another and to share on Facebook did not occur this image exchange.
You can please help me to find a solution?
I insist that the theme all it does is insert the AddThis code in the right place, nothing more. In any case, now the images are displayed correctly. 3 examples of your web:
Yes, it’s really working. I managed to solve the problem by installing the Yoast SEO plugin I did not know and recommend it to everyone. It has great features (including configuring the image to be used in sharing each post) and helps a lot to create posts optimized for search engines.
I appreciate your attention anyway.
