My site worldpianonews.com when viewed on a desktop seems too narrow when compared with the Ribosome demo. This results in the sidebar width being compromised for AdSense. The site is currently running with the Ribosome theme, but the same problem occurs when using the Ribosome Pro Theme.

    Hi,

The sidebar of your site has exactly the same width as Ribosome demo site: 304.63px. In the sidebars of an responsive website, and in general in any other location, responsive ad units should be used. You can see how its are created in the following link: https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/3543893?hl=en.

    Regards.

Hi, thanks for your reply. Sorry, I didn’t make myself clear… the total max-width of the desktop site should be (I believe) 1144px, but my site has a maximum of 953.33px, which is exactly 5/6ths full size. I can’t see why this is. I’ve a feeling that some old “Edit CSS” data could possibly be having an effect, but there is no code in this edit box that could do this.

    Hi,

I see your site perfectly, with the original dimensions of the theme. It is possible that you made some change and your browser has cached the pages. Try clearing the cache. I’m sorry but I can not help you anymore, as you can see in the following image, your site is shown with the correct dimensions.

Thank you for your quick replies and help. I have discovered that the problem was caused by the Page Zoom preference in Safari – a feature I was unaware of – so sorry to have troubled you.
